Parents should ensure their child(ren) have a clear understanding of their obligations regarding the usage and care of college devices and technology. This includes compliance with the college’s published policies and procedures, such as the Device Use and Agreement Protocols.
We understand that managing your child’s “digital life” at home can be challenging. To assist you, the Department for Education offers a range of resources focusing on online safety and responsible use of digital devices.
A link to these resources can be found here: https://www.education.sa.gov.au/parents-and-families/safety-and-wellbeing/bullying-and-cyberbullying/online-safety-support/online-safety-supporting-safe-and-responsible-use
This page provides practical advice on guiding children in using the internet responsibly, understanding the risks of online activities, and recognising signs of cyberbullying. It also offers tools and strategies to help parents communicate effectively with their children about online safety, fostering a supportive environment where children feel comfortable discussing their online experiences.
Engaging with this resource empowers parents to protect their children and promote positive online behaviour.
