Become a Homestay Family

Aldinga Payinthi College proudly welcomes international visitors through our Study Tour Program, offering students from around the world the chance to experience Australian education and life within our community.

We are seeking caring and inclusive families to join our network of Homestay hosts and welcome visiting students for short stays of two to four weeks. Hosting a student is a meaningful opportunity to share your home, learn about another culture, and contribute to a young person’s learning journey.

Why Become a Homestay Family

Hosting a Study Tour student allows you to:

• Share your home and Australian way of life
• Learn about another culture, language, and perspective
• Build lasting friendships and connections
• Support an international student as they experience life in South Australia

What’s Involved

Homestay families are asked to provide:

• A safe, clean and comfortable home environment
• Daily meals
• Transport to and from school and activities
• Opportunities for English conversation and cultural exchange

International Education Services (IES) provides ongoing guidance and 24/7 support to all Homestay families, as well as financial assistance to help offset the cost of hosting.

Requirements

To ensure a safe and positive experience for all participants, Homestay families are required to:

• Hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) for all household members aged 18 and over
• Have at least one adult complete the Responding to Risk, Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) training
• Participate in a home visit conducted by a member of the International Education team before hosting
